Denmark and the EIB
The EIB has worked with Denmark since 1973. We financed the construction of the Øresund Bridge, which links Malmö and Copenhagen, allowing 3.7 million people in the area to live on one side and work on the other. Over the years, we have backed digital infrastructure, transport and innovation with Danish companies, including some of the most cutting-edge technologies. The country is a well-known technological hub, and the EIB has played in key role in developing this industry.
