Call for Expression of Interest for the selection of Financial Intermediaries under the EU4Business Guarantee Facility in the Eastern Partnership Countries

In a coordinated European response to supporting the private sector and SMEs in particular in the Eastern Partnership Countries, the EIB and the EIF – jointly the EIB Group – publish a call for expression of interest in order to select financial intermediaries for the new EU4Business Guarantee Facility. The Facility is expected to provide partial portfolio guarantees to the selected financial intermediaries for the benefit of SMEs in five Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). In this facility, EIF will leverages its expertise in SME financing and act as the transaction agent (including the selection of intermediaries via the open call for expression of interest), while the EIB will front the guarantee as guarantor of record. Under this call for expression of interest it is planned to allocate up to €40 million to selected Financial Intermediaries.
