The project concerns construction and operation of a new 440 kt.p.a. production line for containerboard.
Objectives
The new plant will produce lighter, more resource efficient products, based on new, more energy efficient technologies. In parallel with the introduction of the new plant, an existing, outdated production line will be decommissioned.

Environmental aspects
The project falls under Annex I of the EIA Directive 85/337/EEC, amended by Directives 97/11/EC and 2003/35/EC, and therefore an EIA is mandatory. Full environmental details will be assessed during the appraisal, including possible impacts on protected flora and fauna (Habitats’ 92/43/EEC and Birds’ 79/409/EEC Directives).

The promoter is a private company operating in a sector not covered by EU Directives on procurement.
