Gestion de Infraestructuras Sanitarias del Principado de Asturias, S.A. (GISPASA), a special purpose vehicle 100% owned by the Principado de Asturias (PDA). GISPASA was created in March 2004 to perform activities related to the provisioning of infrastructures, equipment and services in the health sector for the PDA.

Description
Construction and operation by GISPASA of a new general and university hospital (the Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias – HUCA).
Objectives
The new hospital will mainly replace 3 older structures (the old Hospital Central, the Residencia Sanitaria Nuestra Señora de Covadonga and the Instituto Nacional de Silicosis) in Oviedo, Spain. The hospital will have 1039 conventional beds and a total surface area of some 180.000 sq m.

Around EUR 330 million, of which some EUR 260 million (included IVA) involve capital expenses dedicated to the construction of the new facilities.
Environmental aspects
Where required, the promoter is expected to respect the norms imposed by the EU Directive 97/11/EC. In accordance with its normal procedure, the Bank will ensure that appropriate measures have been defined as regards environmental protection.
Procurement
The promoter is required to respect the EU directives as regards invitations to tender.
