The Central Bank of Malta and the European Investment Bank hosted the webinar “Investment in the post COVID-19 era, digitalisation and climate change”.
The pandemic has smothered nascent hopes for a recovery of investment activity in Malta. Substantial revenue losses and a rise in uncertainty have seen investment plans slashed. We discussed with experts and policy makers the challenges ahead and their implications for investment needs and priorities with a special focus on digitalisation and a green recovery.
After the opening remarks, the results of the 2020 EIB Investment Survey for Malta were presented, followed by a presentation by the Central Bank of Malta on the country's economic situation. A high-level panel discussion on investment finance and business transformation during the pandemic and beyond closed the event.
