LuxFLAG, the Luxembourg Finance Labelling Agency, celebrates one decade of activities in supporting Sustainable Finance.

Her Royal Highness The Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, Honorary President of LuxFLAG, Mr. Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance, Mr. Ambroise Fayolle, Vice President of the European Investment Bank and Mr Thomas Seale, Chairman of LuxFLAG addressed the audience on this special occasion at a ceremony hosted on 22 November 2016 at the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg.

The event gathered 150 guests, Charter Members and Associates Members, delegates from the industry and banking sectors and representatives of the civil society. They worked together with the LuxFLAG team during these 10 years to make LuxFLAG an internationally recognised labelling agency “at the service of a more sustainable and more inclusive economy.”

“As a Charter Member, we are proud to support this multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to promote the raising of capital for the responsible investment sector by awarding a recognisable label to investment funds” declared EIB Vice President Ambroise Fayolle.

Since 2006, LuxFlag issues labels to microfinance, environment and ESG funds meeting stringent requirements. Thanks to LuxFlag labelling, reliable and valuable sustainable investment funds can mobilize capital increasingly. As of today, LuxFLAG label was awarded to 52 investment funds worth nearly EUR 13 billion from a variety of international asset managers based in more than 10 countries.
