    Objectives

    Loan for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

    This loan aims to improve access to finance and promote a more diversified market economy by supporting the emergence and development of SMEs and very small enterprises so as to contribute to job creation and the recovery of the Tunisian economy.

    Procurement

    The Bank will require the intermediary institution to take all the requisite measures to ensure that the procedures carried out by the final beneficiaries for the sub-projects receiving Bank financing will comply with national legislation and the EIB's environmental and social standards, as set out in Vol I of the EIB Environmental and Social Handbook.

    Final beneficiaries will be requested to comply with applicable national and EU legislation, as appropriate. The Bank will require the intermediary institution to take all the requisite measures to ensure that any procurement procedures carried out by the final beneficiaries for the sub-projects that the Bank finances are in accordance with EIB Guide to Procurement.
