    Description
    Objectives

    Municipal infrastructure schemes in the region of Madrid.

    The project is a multi-sector framework loan to finance investment schemes included in the PRISMA 2008-2011. Potential schemes are mostly in the fields of urban renewal, human capital and environmental upgrading.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The Bank’s appraisal will focus on the promoter’s environmental management capacity and on the verification of the correct application of the appropriate Directives, including undertaking of SEA/EIAs and assessment of requirements of the Habitat and Bird Directive where appropriate; all the relevant project’s key documents will be published in line with the Bank’s procedures.

    The promoter is subject to and follows public procurement rules according to EU regulations. Application of EU procedures by the promoter for the tender of services, supplies and civil works will be reviewed by the Bank’s services during appraisal and monitoring.
