Financing Alba County regional operator's contribution during the 2014-2020 programming period to the investment programme funded by the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme
This project will improve and extend the water supply and sanitation infrastructure in Alba County, within the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020, in order to accelerate the process of complying with Romania's commitments in the EU Accession Treaty and bringing the sector in line with the standards set by Directive 91/271/EEC and Directive 98/83/EC.
The project is expected to have a significant positive environmental and public health impact and contribute to meeting the country's needs in the water and sanitation sector, in relation to compliance with EU environmental legislation.
The Bank will require the promoter to ensure that contracts for the implementation of the project have been/shall be tendered in accordance with the relevant applicable EU procurement legislation (Directive 2014/25/EU as well as Directives 89/665/EEC and 92/13/EEC) as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the EU, with publication of tender notices in the Official Journal of the EU, as and where required.
