    Objectives

    The proposed framework loan will be used primarily to finance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects as well as other projects with a significant positive contribution towards the environment and the fight against climate change.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The operation intends to create environmental benefits by supporting projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change. The individual schemes to be financed are likely to be of limited size and would be expected to have limited environmental risks.

    The Bank will review systems and procedures applied by the promoter, including compliance with relevant national and EU legislation, as defined by Procurement Directive 2004/17/EC, and where necessary, publication in the Official EU Journal of the EU.
