    Objectives

    Construction of 91 km of a new 2x2 of motorway in Central Poland between Strykow in the outskirts of Lodz and Konotopa in the outskirts of Warsaw on a new alignment.

    The project is a part of the priority TENs road network, linking the capital of Poland with the Western border.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The project falls under Annex I of EIA Directive 85/337/EEC, as amended by Directives 97/11/EC and 2003/35/EC and 92/42/EEC Habitats Directive. The EIA process is acceptable and can be considered complete for the whole project.

    The promoter is a public entity subject to EU public procurement regulations. The Bank will require the promoter to ensure that contracts for the implementation of the Project have been/shall be tendered in accordance with the relevant applicable EU procurement legislation (Directive 2004/17/EC) with parallel publication of tender notices in the EU Official Journal, as and where appropriate.
