Procurement

EU legislation is not applicable to the State of Israel. If it was, the project would fall under Annex I of EIA directive 97/11/EC requiring a full EIA. An EIA has been prepared for the project under Israeli law and complies with the standards of EU legislation.

The project has been competitively tendered through an open, international tender procedure.
