Objectives

Project of limited scale in the fields of (a) infrastructure, (b) environmental protection and improvement, (c) rational use of energy (d) health, education and urban renewal and (e) R&D and projects of limited scale carried out by SMES.

Through the financial intermediary, this global loan aims at financing investments of limited scale.

Comments

The proposed global loan will finance small and medium-scale projects in the fields of SMEs, the improvement of infrastructure (including health, education and urban renewal) environmental protection and energy saving of Community interest, the support of which is in line with both national and Community objectives. For projects located in assisted areas the global loan is eligible under Article 267 points a), projects aimed at one or several of the remaining global loan objectives being eligible under Article 267 point c) of the EC Treaty.
