The project consists in the development and operation of a new beach resort.
The project should increase the capacity and quality of tourism facilities, strengthen the region as a holiday destination for international tourists and domestic clients. The promotion of tourism will create direct employment in the service sector and indirect economic spill-over effects in this assisted area of the South of Italy.
The project falls under Annex II of the Directive 97/11/EEC on Environmental Impact Assessment. An Environmental Impact Study has been prepared accordingly. The conclusions of this Study on the major environmental factors and relevant mitigating measures will be verified during appraisal.
Procurement will follow procedures usually applied in the private sector projects and satisfactory to the EIB.

Any complaint regarding alleged maladministration can be lodged via the EIB Complaints Mechanism. The European Ombudsman acts as an independent external accountability mechanism of the EIB.
