The European Investment Bank Group and the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) organised a joint event, focusing on the most important results of the recently published EIB investment report. Among other things, it contains clear recommendations for politicians, such as the removal of bureaucratic investment hurdles and the promotion of innovations.
The event featured a panel discussion with politicians and companies on how the ecological transformation of the economy can succeed with more investments – although the economic environment in Germany presents a number of hurdles: persistently high inflation, a shortage of skilled workers in almost all sectors, and various uncertainty factors.
