New EIB product for energy efficiency investments in cooperation with EC
- Date: 10 December 2014
The EIB and the European Commission have agreed on the Private Finance for Energy Efficiency Instrument (PF4EE Instrument) which is funded by the Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (“LIFE Programme”) under the auspices of the Directorate General for Climate Change.
The committed amount under the LIFE Programme is EUR 80m which the EIB aims to combine with loan facilities of at least EUR 480m.
The aim of PF4EE is to address the limited access to adequate and affordable commercial financing for energy efficiency investments targeted by schemes developed by EU Member States to implement their Nation Energy Efficiency Action Plans or other energy efficiency programmes. For more information please refer to: www.eib.org/pf4ee
