The EIB is an EU Body that applies a first class range of policies and standards regarding its operations and relations with stakeholders. These policies and standards are reviewed and updated periodically and are illustrative of how the Bank seeks to fulfil its mission in an open and responsible way.

The EIB is committed to achieving the highest possible level of transparency. The EIB Transparency Policy sets out how EIB discloses information and consults with its stakeholders so as to promote better awareness and understanding of its strategies, policies and operations.
The EIB new Complaints Mechanism- Principles, Terms of Reference and Rules of Procedure was approved by EIB Board of Directors on 2 February 2010 and supersedes the Complaints Mechanism Policy of June 2008.
