Finance in Common (FiC) is a summit gathering the world’s Public Development Banks (PDBs) during the 3rd Paris Peace Forum, which took place under the high patronage of Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and with the participation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Hosted by Agence Française de Développement, FiC was the first ever event to convene 450 PDBs and their partners. It examined the crucial role of PDBs in building a more resilient and sustainable world, both during the COVID-19 crisis and in the long-term. The summit also aimed to foster cooperation and reconcile the finance community in support of common action for climate and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The first deliverable of the Finance in Common Summit was a joint declaration of all Public Development Banks stating their willingness to contribute to the recovery and align with sustainable finance principles.

As a key player in international development, the European Investment Bank (EIB) was represented at the summit by President Werner Hoyer and Vice-President Ambroise Fayolle.

Due to this year’s exceptional circumstances, all events were held virtually. Check out the full agenda of events.
