    Description
    Objectives

    Additionality and Impact

The project involves new construction, reconstruction and major renovations of lower secondary public infrastructures in the Department of Val-de-Marne, aiming at modernizing the teaching and learning environments, which will translate into improvements in the quality of education. Improved educational attainment has significant positive externalities, as it benefits the society and the broader economy. The investments targeting climate change mitigation will also have significant positive externalities, as they contribute to the construction of a more sustainable future in Val-de-Marne. The Project is fully aligned with the national and departmental priorities in education, the EIB's Innovation, Digital and Human Capital policy goal and the EU's European Education Area 2025 initiative.  Further, the financing provided by the Bank will offer features that cannot be found in the market, including long maturity, five years availability, five years grace period, plus technical contribution and advice through the project's monitoring, providing the borrower with significant security over the achievement of its project.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement
