Participation in an infrastructure fund which will primarily invest in sustainable urban, transport and energy infrastructures.
The Inframed fund will contribute to the Union for the Mediterranean by providing a source of equity financing for infrastructure projects across the region.
The Fund’s guidelines will be consistent with EIB’s own internal guidelines. Due to indirect nature of EIB’s involvement (ie fund participation and subsequent delegation to management), it will be the InfraMed manager complying to these guidelines.
Similar approach as for environmental guidelines.
