Description
Objectives

The project concerns the part-financing of Trelleborg’s expenditures for selected R&D projects in the 2009-2012 period.

The project concerns the promoter´s investments in Research, Development and Innovation with a focus on the further development of advanced polymer technology and related products to seal, damp and protect in demanding environments. The project includes capital expenditure in manufacturing facilities related to the first commercialisation of results from Research and Developments programmes. The project will take place at the promoter´s Research and Development centres in Europe and the precise scope and contribution of each location will be assessed during the project´s due diligence.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The project concerns investments in research and development that are expected to be carried out in existing facilities already authorised in which case an EIA would not be required. However, the project also includes certain capital investments in manufacturing facilities related to the research and development programs and the Bank’s services will verify all relevant environmental details during the project’s due diligence.

Procurement is expected to be in line with EIB guidelines for private sector projects. The Bank’s services will verify details during the project’s due diligence.
