Description
Objectives

The project concerns the enlargement of two sections of motorway AP7 in Cataluña totalling some 123 km, the first section from Maçanet to La Jonquera (AP7-North), and the second section from Vendrell to Salou (AP7-South).

Improve traffic safety and reduce congestion on the existing road network.

Procurement

The project falls under Annex II of the EU Directive 85/337/EEC (and following amendments): Requirements with regards to compliance with the EIA process, as well as requirements for the SEA and Habitats Directives will be clarified during the appraisal.

The project's compliance with applicable EU legislation will be checked, with respect in particular to parallel publication of tender notices in the EU Official Journal, as and where appropriate. Details of the procurement procedures and strategies will be revised during the appraisal.
