Summary sheet
Financing of Groupe Treves research, development and innovation (RDI) activities in the field of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation products and solutions
The project covers the promoter's RDI activities in the field of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation products and solutions. A portion of the research and development (R&D) activities aim for the reduction of overall vehicle weight as well enhanced recyclability of materials. The activities are carried out primarily at the promoter's technical centre in Reims, France (about 95%), and to a lesser extent in Spain, UK, and Germany.
The project consists of R&D activities that are not specifically mentioned in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive 2011/92/EU (amended by 2014/52/EU) and that will be carried out in existing facilities without changing their already authorised scope. The project would therefore not require an EIA. However, the Bank's services will review during the project appraisal all the project-related environmental details.
The promoter is a private company not operating in the Utilities sector and not having the status of a contracting authority. Thus it is not covered by EU directives on procurement.
