Mr Stanislaw Kluza has been appointed as Polish Minister of Finance, replacing Ms Zita Gylowska, and thereby also becomes EIB Governor for Poland.
Before becoming Minister of Finance, Mr Kluza was in charge of foreign debt in the Ministry of Finance.
Mr Kluza, 34 years old, is a graduate of SGH, the Warsaw School of Economics, and holds an economics doctorate in monetary policy & econometrics. He is also a former Fulbright Scholar.
From 1994 to 1998 he worked for Unilever Polska and from 1998 to 1999 for McKinsey. In 2002, he became chief economist for BGZ bank.
