The EIB is launching a public consultation on the review of the EIB Group Transparency Policy (EIB-TP). The EIB invites all members of the public to participate in the review by visiting the dedicated public consultation website and sending their contributions by 12 March 2021.
In the interest of transparency and to promote the widest possible participation, the public consultation website provides an overview of the process and explains how to contribute.
It gives access to the three consultation documents:
- The draft revised EIB-TP, which shows the amendments currently under consideration and brief explanations thereof;
- An explanatory note, which sets out the context for the review, provides an overview of the EIB-TP and outlines the main changes currently under consideration; and
- A set of consultation questions soliciting views about specific transparency matters.
The EIB Group Transparency Policy sets out the EIB Group’s approach to transparency and stakeholder engagement. It identifies the information and documents that the EIB routinely publishes on its website as well as the rules and procedures for responding to information requests from the public.
In February 2021, the EIB will host an online consultation event – open to everyone interested – to provide an opportunity for the EIB staff to exchange directly with participants on the Transparency Policy and the key issues covered by the review.
