On Monday 30 May 2005, from 11.30 hrs to 13:30 hrs the official inauguration of the EIB's Nairobi based Regional Representation for Central and East Africa will take place, followed by a press conference by the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Mr. Philippe Maystadt.
Place: on the 5th floor of the Africa Re Building, Hospital Road 00100 Nairobi
The Minister for Finance, Hon. Daudi Mwiraria and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Chirau Ali Mwakwere, will, together with EIB President Philippe Maystadt, officially open the EIB's regional representation for Central and East Africa on the 5th floor of the Africa Re building at 11:30 hrs.
Opening addresses will be made in the Africa Re board room on the 8th floor. EIB President Maystadt will introduce the Head of the EIB's Regional Representation, Mr Carmelo Cocuzza, and present the EIB's activities in East Africa in the framework of the Cotonou Partnership Agreement between the ACP-States and the EU, as well as the role and prospects of activities of the Regional Representation. This will be followed by a question and answer session with the press.
