Supporting innovative low-carbon technologies

The EU Catalyst Partnership brings together the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and Breakthrough Energy to accelerate the deployment and commercialisation of innovative low-carbon technologies, in support of the European Green Deal and the EU’s 2030 climate targets.

It will mobilise up to €820 million ($1 billion) between 2022-2027 in the form of grants, equity, and quasi-equity financing support in five key technological areas: clean hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels, direct air capture, long-duration energy storage, and decarbonisation of industry.
