A high level panel including EIB President Werner Hoyer will debate: “The Way Forward for the Eurozone and Europe: A Conversation with European Policymakers”. To be held on Thursday 18th April, at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, the discussion will also feature Olli Rehn, European Commissioner for economic and monetary affairs; Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Dutch Finance Minister and Eurogroup President; Klaus Regling, CEO of the European Stability Mechanism and Jorg Asmussen, European Central Bank executive board member. After the debate, the panel will take questions.
An opinion piece by the panelists has been published in today’s International Herald Tribune online. The article lists five steps taken by the EU in response to the crisis, including increased lending by the EIB following our recent capital increase.
