During this two-day conference, microfinance practitioners will share experience and will tackle the topic of microfinance in the context of digital technologies: what space could microfinance occupy if it fully embraces new technology, and what detachment could it suffer if it does not, bearing in mind the need to maintain the unique value of microfinance within the digital world?
This event offers an excellent networking opportunity and should enable the identification of new activities for the EIB Institute. In addition, the conference will present new short and medium-term businesses opportunities in the context of the launch of the Eastern Neighbourhood countries mandate and the EIB’s microfinance activities in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EIF is looking forward to presenting its achievements and future plans under EaSI, the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation. EaSI is a new instrument that the EIF has been managing since June 2015.
The EIB Institute complements the actions of the EIB and EIF, mainly through grants and sponsorships.
