Vice-President Mourinho Félix’s areas of oversight include the blue economy, Funding and Treasury, Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), InvestEU (implementation, jointly with Vice-President Czerwińska), the Just Transition Mechanism (on a project level in consultation with sectoral oversights), the Recovery and Resilience Facility, project eligibility, technical and economic assessment, economic research, financing of the migration response, financing operations in Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Latin America, Cuba, the Caribbean States and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean States (CELAC). Vice-President Mourinho Félix also oversees relations with rating agencies, national promotional institutions (NPBs), the European Long-Term Investors Association (ELTI), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Eurostat, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and think tanks.
Spain: EIB and Grupo Cajamar will direct €980 million in new financing to SMEs and mid-caps in rural areas and to green projects
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar have signed a purchase agreement of a €350 million covered bond issue. The transaction enables the cooperative bank Cajamar to make up to €784 million in financing available to support investment in projects of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps, especially those operating in rural areas, including those with links to the agri-food sector, and up to €196 million to accelerate the green transition.
