Vice-President Mourinho Félix’s areas of oversight include the Blue economy, Funding and treasury, Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), InvestEU (implementation, jointly with Vice-President Czerwińska), Just Transition Mechanism (on a project level in consultation with sectorial oversights), Recovery and Resilience Facility, project eligibility, technical and economic assessment, Economic research, financing of the migration response, financing operations in Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Latin America, Cuba, Caribbean States and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean States (CELAC). Vice-President Mourinho Félix also oversees the relations with rating agencies, national promotional institutions (NPBs), the European Long-Term Investors Association (ELTI), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Eurostat, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and think tanks.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) will be supporting Sociedad Anónima Municipal Actuaciones Urbanas de Valencia (AUMSA), a municipal company owned by the city of Valencia, with a loan of up to €27 million to promote affordable public rental housing. Specifically, the EIB loan will finance the construction of 323 new units, 85% of which will be in near-zero-energy buildings, and the rehabilitation of four existing ones across different locations in the city of Valencia. These investments will constitute a 54% increase in AUMSA’s existing stock of affordable public rental housing.
