These are some of the results from the latest yearly Climate Survey conducted in August 2022 and published today by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The EIB is the lending arm of the European Union and the world’s largest multilateral lender for climate action projects.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €15 million loan under the Natural Capital Financing Facility (NCFF) for projects developed by the Ginkgo III Fund for green and blue infrastructure in brownfield regeneration projects. The loan will support both climate adaptation and biodiversity. Ginkgo III is the third fund developed by Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity in partnership with Ginkgo Advisor dedicated to sustainable brownfield remediation and redevelopment in Europe.
European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice-President Kris Peeters and Société wallonne des eaux (SWDE) Management Committee President Eric Van Sevenant signed a €250 million loan in Verviers-Stembert, Belgium. This is the fourth operation since 2006 between the EU bank and the Wallonia-based operator, which is the main water producer and distributor in the region.
