On the occasion of the EIB’s 60th anniversary and building on the successful conference that took place in Bucharest in 2017, this half-day conference will focus on investment needs and priorities for Romania, hereby targeting a group of local economists, policymakers, as well as representatives from financial institutions and the business community in Romania. Mugur Isărescu, Governor of the National Bank of Romania and EIB Vice President Andrew McDowell will provide opening remarks, followed by two panel sessions: a first session on the EIB’s 2017-2018 Investment Report, entitled ‘From recovery to sustainable growth’ and the country-specific results for Romania, and a second session focusing on investment opportunities from an operational point of view. The conference is followed by a lunch reception to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the EIB.
