The Bank of Greece and the European Investment Bank hosted the webinar “Investment and Investment Finance in Greece”.
The pandemic has smothered nascent hopes for a recovery of investment activity in Greece. Substantial revenue losses and a rise in uncertainty have seen investment plans slashed. We discussed with experts and policy makers the challenges ahead and their implications for investment needs and priorities with a special focus on digitalization and a green recovery.
After opening remarks, the results of the 2020 EIB Investment Survey for Greece were presented, followed by a presentation by the Bank of Greece on the economic situation in Greece. A high-level panel discussion on investment dynamics and investment gaps in the country closed the event.
