Green Week 2016 kicks off on Monday 30 May, running until 3 June. The largest annual event on European environment policy, this year's Green Week focuses on "Investing for a greener future".

Events discussing green investment growth and thematic will take place all around Europe throughout the week. Each day will focus on a different topic with a high-level conference taking place in Brussels on Wednesday 1 June.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is an active participant at this event where it will present some of the instruments dedicated to green investments which the EU bank has developed together with the European Commission.

In their presentations, EIB speakers will focus on options for developing biodiversity financing, the Private Finance for Energy Efficiency (PF4EE) instrument - aimed at increasing loan financing for energy efficiency through private banks - and the role of the Investment Plan for Europe in boosting green investment.
