Transport is responsible for 22% of the EU's CO2 emissions. Electric vehicles are key to counter this tendency.The European Investment Bank is supporting electric battery production company Umicore in the construction of a manufacturing plant in Nysa, Poland. This new facility will support its customers in meeting the growing demand for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
