Every year, 8 million tonnes of plastic waste reach the oceans. By improving the ways we treat wastewater, we will stop most of the pollution in rivers and oceans. The European Investment Bank and Aquafin joined forces to upgrade and improve wastewater treatment plants in the Belgian region of Flanders. Almost all wastewater will be collected and treated by 2027 for the benefit of our environment. Discover this wonderful project in our video!
