Description

The project comprises the renewal and upgrade of the C-25 road expressway corridor, Eix Transversal, in the north of Cataluña.

Improve traffic safety and reduce congestion on the existing road network.

Environmental aspects

The project falls under Annex I of the EU Directive 85/337/EEC (and following amendments), thus requires a full EIA. Further requirements for the SEA and Nature Conservation areas will be clarified during appraisal.

Procurement

All contracts over the relevant EC directives thresholds procured following international tendering procedures, including publication of notices in the OJEU.
