This year the EIB is a key partner of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF). The WCEF, a global initiative of Finland and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, brings together around 2,000 business leaders, policymakers and experts to present the world’s best circular economy solutions. The WCEF examines how businesses can seize new opportunities, gain a competitive advantage through circular economy solutions and how the circular economy contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This year the conference will have a strong emphasis on scaling up the circular economy transition and highlight the themes of inclusiveness and fairness: the circular economy must benefit both the rich and the poor globally.

Join the EIB at WCEF 2019

Come and join us at the EIB stand at the at the Finlandia Hall Piazza (2^nd floor) to find out more about how we support the circular economy.

The European Investment Bank will participate in 2 sessions of the main programme:

• Vice President Emma Navarro will be a keynote speaker at the Grand Opening on 3 June (12:00-13:45)
• Shiva Dustdar, Head of Innovation Finance Advisory, will speak at the parallel session “Investing in the Circular Economy” on 4 June (14:00-15:30)

The EIB is also co-organizing 2 side sessions:

• “Can outcome-based contracting add value to the Circular Economy?” on 3 June (14:30-16:00)
• “Circular City Actions in the EU” on 4 June (9:00-10:30)
