About the event
The European Commission – Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) is pleased to invite you to participate to the webinar ‘Financial needs in the agriculture and agri-food sectors in the Baltic countries’, that will take place on 16 September 2020.
Based on the feedback of 7,600 farmers and 2,200 agri-food companies across the EU, the recently published 24 country-specific fi-compass reports present the main challenges faced by these two groups when it comes to access to finance.
The webinar will focus on the financial environment in which farmers and processors operate in the Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. It will consider the region’s banking systems, the major financial players in the two sectors, the loans and guarantees available and various financial schemes supported by national and EU financing. Moreover, stakeholders and managing authorities will also share their experience in working with financial instruments.
During the webinar, participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
