Leaving No-one Behind: How can financial innovation support inclusiveness and resilience?

The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2017 convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held from 10 July to 19 July 2017, including a three-day ministerial meeting.
In the margins of the UN High-Level Political Forum, the European Investment Bank will co-organise with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) a side event which will examine the role that financial innovations can have in support of inclusiveness.
EIB Vice-President Ambroise Fayolle will be joined by Magdy Martinez-Soliman, Assistant Secretary-General and Director, Bureau for Policy and Programme Support, UNDP and Joao Valle de Almeida, EU Ambassador to the United Nations to discuss financing solutions that can deliver inclusive economic development and resilience. The discussion will be moderated by Shirin Wheeler, Principal Advisor International Media at the EIB
A joint Policy Brief on how financial innovation can support inclusiveness and resilience in support of the SDGs will be presented and discussed.
The High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development is the United Nations central platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.
