As part of a regular dialogue with the civil society, the EIB organized one of its twice-yearly Workshops for civil society organizations (CSOs) in Brussels on 11 May.
The agenda was drawn up in co-operation with interested CSOs and included three sessions on: R&D and innovation; human capital formation; and the role of civil society in the EIB project cycle.
EIB and CSOs both delivered presentations. The Workshop was chaired by EIB Vice-President Peter Sedgwick, Member of the Bank's Management Committee with responsibility for EIB's relations with CSOs.
Some 25 CSO delegates and observers from EU institutions and international bodies participated.
The next EIB workshop (Autumn 2006) will be announced on the EIB website.
