The EIB will be present in the EU pavilion at the tenth session of Conference of the Parties (COP 10) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held from 6-17 December 2004 at the La Rural exhibition center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

COP 10 will mark the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will serve as a central theme for the event. Discussions at COP 10 will in particular highlight a range of climate-related issues including the impacts of climate change and adaptation measures, mitigation policies and their impacts, and technology. Participants will also take stock of the entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol.

As a policy-driven bank promoting EU policies, climate change and the implications for its activities are a major focus of consideration and activity for the EIB. Publications and information about the Bank's environmental activities in general are available at the Conference from the EIB Information-desk at the EU pavilion.
