The European Investment Bank in cooperation with Aquanet will hold a conference on financing for the water sector in Poland addressing public and private stakeholders from Poland and beyond in Poznan (PL) on 19 and 20 June 2006.
Who should attend?
The two-day conference is designed to bring together representatives from the government, local authorities, scientists, experts, managers and stakeholders from the water sector and will promote awareness and understanding of the EIB's financing.
What will participants learn?
The aim of this forum is to present the most recent developments in the water and sanitation sector in Poland comparing them with trends and developments in other European countries which demonstrate and promote good practice.
About the event
This EIB conference will gather Polish and international experts from the water sector, senior staff from the EIB, as well as local and regional government officials to discuss innovative ways of funding municipal projects in the water sector.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Pricing and tariffs
- Regionalisation of water works
- Funding of infrastructure
- Availability of technical expertise
The seminar, to be held in Poznan on 19-20 June at the Mercure Hotel, will be opened by Ivan Pilip, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank. Speeches and presentations will be followed by panel discussions and a series of technical workshops.
Conference languages will be Polish and English with simultaneous interpretation available throughout the conference.
