Ján Pociatek, new Governor for Slovakia

Following the Slovak elections, Mr Ján Pociatek has been appointed Minister of Finance. He thus succeeds Mr Ivan Miklos as Governor of the Bank.
Before becoming Minister of Finance, Mr Pociatek, 36 years old, served as Executive Director at Telenor Slovakia from 2001, having also held the positions of Commercial Director and Vice Executive Director (from 2000 to 2001) and Project Director (from 1997 to 2000) in that company.
Mr Pociatek graduated in economics in 1995 from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of National Economics, and in 1994 in electrotechnical engineering from the Slovak Technical University.
