The European Investment Bank homepage www.eib.org is getting a facelift. Following an internal evaluation launched in autumn 2008, the Strategy and Corporate Centre department has decided to redesign the homepage of the EU bank.

The results of the evaluation showed that, in the old version, the homepage did not capture the visitor's attention and that the content lacked clarity. The layout and content have been redeveloped reflecting the external client needs, making the homepage more user-friendly. The most visible changes are the introduction of three pillars of information describing the bank for visitors who don’t know the EIB detailing what we can offer and where we operate; an attractive feature-style stories section, some daily news, and a direct access to public consultations on selected EIB corporate and important multi-sector policies.

The homepage also displays information on key documents and upcoming events as well as a very useful footer (navigation menu down the page) that will help the visitor navigate through the website.

Due to the fact that the site's improvement is a continuous process, we welcome any constructive comments on this new layout or suggestions on new developments you would like to see in the future (to do so, please use the “Provide Feedback” form).
