The European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund, in partnership with IAPMEI and Plan Tecnólogico-Portugal A Inovar, held a seminar on the new EU financial instruments for research, development and innovation in Lisbon on 21 June 2007.

 

Co-chaired by Carlos Costa, EIB Vice-President, Manuel Heitor, Secretary of State for Science Technology and Higher Education, and Antonio Castro Guerra, Deputy Secretary of State for Industry and Innovation, the seminar examined investment by universities, the risk sharing finance facility, technology transfer accelerators and JEREMIE (Joint European Resources for Micro-to-Medium Enterprises).
