Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands will address the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) annual meeting in Amsterdam on Wednesday 15 May. Queen Maxima will address the CGAP in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank, will also address the meeting, which sets out the CGAP’s policies and strategic direction, as well as providing work plan and budget input.
The meeting is attended by CGAP’s global network of members: over 35 development agencies, private foundations and national governments, all of whom share the vision of improving the lives of the poor through better access to finance.
