If situated in the EU, the project would fall under Annex II of the Environmental Impact Assessment Directive 2011/92/EU as amended by Directive 2014/52/EU and would be subject to screening. In Colombia, metro projects do not fall within the scope of the relevant EIA legislation. The documents have been through a public consultation process and have been published by the Promoter. The project involves land acquisition with physical and/or economic displacement. Therefore, a Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) have been prepared and implemented in line with EIB Standard 6 (Involuntary Resettlement) and other MDBs standards. All related environmental and social aspects will be further reviewed during appraisal and the Bank will require the Promoter to comply with EIB's environmental and social standards and the principles of relevant EU Directives.
