2020 annual press conference

The EIB President, Werner Hoyer, presented 2019 results and 2020 outlook at the EIB’s annual press conference.

2019 highlights include*:

• Total EIB Group (European Investment Bank and European Investment Fund) financing signed € 72.2 bn, of which € 63.4 bn in the EU and € 8.8 bn outside the EU.
• Total EIB financing €63.25 bn signed
• Total EIF financing € 10.23  bn signed
• Number of operations approved : 1095
• Total investment supported : EUR 280 bn
• Climate investments: 31% of total financing (EIB only)
