Künftige Briefings
Gender Smart Climate Finance
If we are to address two of today’s most pressing challenges, increasing temperatures and rising inequalities, there is an urgent need to accelerate gender-smart and socially inclusive climate finance. Applying a gender and social inclusion lens to climate finance and vice versa aims to address gender disparities and better inform investment decisions - leading to enhanced business and climate outcomes, inclusive economic growth and women’s empowerment.
This session will be presented by Moa Westman Gender Specialist at the EIB, will explore the gender-climate nexus and shed light on what a gender smart climate investment really is and how it can deliver better climate, gender equality and business outcomes. Concrete examples of how the EIB is advancing gender-smart climate finance under its Climate Bank Roadmap will be shared to illustrate how these concepts are being put into practice. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, no prior registration to watch the briefing is needed
